Shaunie O’Neal isn’t trippin off Matt Barnes and his little Twitter rants and she said as much in an interview earlier today. That’s not all she was talkin about either. Shaunie cleared the air about Gloria Govan’s involvement with the show, infidelity in her marriage and the next season of “Basketball Wives”. Pop the hood to listen

Shaunie called into “The Morning After With Angela Yee” this morning to promote the “Basketball Wives” Reunion show, which airs this Sunday. She also discussed the upcoming second season which includes several changes. The new show will be an hour instead of half hour and there’s 12 episodes instead of 8. There are also some changes in the cast, and as you probably already guessed — Gloria Govan has been voted off the island.

Shaunie reveals that Gloria was actually cast for the show before the affair with her sister, Laura Govan, and Shaq came out in the open, and Shaunie admits that she tried to get her off the show once she found out, but the contracts were signed already. Shaunie calls it “therapeutic” addressing that situation with Gloria’s sister on the show, but says it would have been “therapeutic a little bit more if I could have put my hands on her.” HILARIOUS!!! Shaunie also says that while Shaq initially tried to have the show shut down, he’s fine with it now.

Shaunie also discussed her new boyfriend Marlon Yates, and addresses the rumors that Shaq was talking ish to her son.

Another interesting part of the interview happens when she gets to talkin’ about Matt Barnes and basically plays the sh*t out of him by saying:

“I think he got his little 5 minutes of shine just being part of the show to be honest. From what I hear most people didn’t know his name before the show.”

Shaunie also addresses the issue of dealing with groupies, but she denies ever stepping out on Shaq. She claims she never cheated and spent 85% of her time with her kids, and the rest at the arena supporting Shaq.

“Basketball Wives” fans should also be excited to hear that Shaunie is currently casting for her new show “Football Wives”
